M atthew 24:

A nd then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
a nd they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

W hen the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

2 7 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
t hat ye // disciples // may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
a nd to stand before the Son of man.

M ark 13:

2 6 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
2 7 And then shall he send his angels,
a nd shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
3 4 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

s cene. “Son of man” is a fairly frequent phrase in the Old Testament. Ezekiel,

T he phrase simply means “human one,”

W e are back to the concept of two Yahweh figures we saw earlier in the Old Testament.
