- The Isaacic covenant is the divine agreement in which God promises Isaac the land of Canaan as an everlasting possession, a multitude of descendants to form a great nation, and blessing through his lineage, with the assurance of God’s presence and protection. It builds on the Abrahamic covenant, designating Isaac as the covenant heir through whom the promises are fulfilled.
